Java Technical Architect

As a Java Technical Architect at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in leading and owning the technical design and development of our NextGen transformation project within the Core banking Base Development Group. Your responsibilities will encompass various development activities, including stringent source code control procedures, estimating design and development efforts, understanding requirements from different sources, assisting in designing activities, and adhering to program standards and guidelines. You will be expected to learn and follow best practices and methodologies used in the program, contribute to technical design, coding, and unit testing, as well as mentor and train existing and new team members. Collaboration with stakeholders to achieve project goals, tracking progress against assigned tasks, reporting status, and proactively identifying issues will be essential aspects of your role. Additionally, you will need to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrate a willingness to assist team members, take ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, and report progress to the Project Manager in a timely manner. To qualify for this role, you should have a minimum of 10-15 years of software development experience, with at least 8 years as a Full-stack developer. Your technical skillset should include strong knowledge of UI technologies like HTML5, Angular, Java technologies such as Spring, Spring boot, Spring Microservices, and Spring JPA, along with experience in JSON, RESTAPIs, and full stack development with polyglot solutions like Java, Groovy, and Kafka. Knowledge of integration and unit testing, Behavior Driven Development, integration design, debugging, problem-solving skills, Frameworks, Design Patterns, and experience in retail banking domain are also required. Agile development experience and good written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role. Experience on Fiserv Signature International would be a plus.
