Java Spring Boot Developer / Backend Engineer

As an immediate joiner for the position located in Mohali, Punjab, your role overview will involve designing and developing scalable backend services using Spring Boot, implementing microservices architecture, and performing database design and integration. You will also be responsible for implementing authentication and security protocols, writing and maintaining unit and integration tests, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, as well as monitoring and troubleshooting production issues. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop scalable backend services using Spring Boot (REST or GraphQL APIs). - Implement microservices architecture and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes. - Perform database design and integration using PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL, with ORM through JPA/Hibernate. - Implement authentication and security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, Keycloak, RBAC). - Write and maintain unit and integration tests using tools like JUnit and Mockito. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins. - Monitor and troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, and APM tools. Must-Have Technical Skills: - Strong hands-on experience with Java 11+ or Java 17+. - In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot and its ecosystem (Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security). - Expertise in designing RESTful APIs and working with microservices. - Strong SQL skills with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle. - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. - Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. - Proficiency with Git and CI/CD processes. Nice-to-Have / Bonus Skills: - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP). - Familiarity with caching tools like Redis or Memcached. - Experience with monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack. - Knowledge of GraphQL. - Experience working with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7). - Basic knowledge of frontend development, especially with React or Next.js, for better backend-frontend integration. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, or related field. - 2-4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development (junior to senior level roles). In addition to the technical skills required for the role, soft skills such as strong problem-solving and debugging abilities, comfort working in Agile/Scrum development environments, and good communication skills with the ability to write clear documentation are essential for success in this position.
