JOB POSITION
- Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking for a Software Engineer who is talented and motivated Java Developer to join our team.
- Reporting to Team Lead, associate will help refine and grow the capabilities of current systems, driving continuous improvement to meet our engineering needs.
- Associate will be responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining new product introduction related health care application systems.
- In this role, associate will also promote best practices and internal business processes.
- Associate will be responsive and able to adapt quickly to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
- Associate will work in a data driven environment, have a desire to drive change, and be excited by the opportunity to analyze systematic issues and implement solutions to challenging problems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and backend components, often using Spring Boot.
- Implement and integrate core AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS into the application architecture.
- Strong skills in Java 8
- Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Understanding of SQL and experience with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, and Lambda.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, ensuring quality and performance.
- Work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications and contribute to resolving issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and best practices.
- Create and maintain documentation for developed applications and systems.
- Adapt to new tools, technologies, and best practices in cloud-based software development.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to develop data strategies and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Should understand and have operating experience with Agile delivery model
QUALIFICATION
- Full time IT Engineering or equivalent degree (preferably in Computers)
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Hands-on experience in Java, AWS technologies
- Experience with frameworks like Spring Boot
- Overall IT experience of 3+ years
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Java and AWS hands-on experience
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to manage the expectations of stakeholders
- Passion about sharing knowledge and best practice
- Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix organizations
- Needs to be a self-starter with significant ability to undertake initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal / good negotiations skills are required. Should have good understand on how to write Unit test cases.
