As an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst at Citi, you will be part of the OTC derivatives global technology team for Trade Confirmations. Working alongside a team of passionate engineers, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions to address complex business challenges. Your role will involve driving modern engineering practices and technology transformation within the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that adhere to industry standards. Your key responsibilities will include software development and system design, where you will design robust applications, implement trunk-based development practices for continuous integration, and ensure clean and maintainable code following SOLID principles. You will actively contribute to hands-on coding, code reviews, and refactoring to maintain high engineering standards. In addition to software development, you will drive engineering excellence and best practices by advocating for modern ways of working such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable systems, enforce secure coding practices, and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices. To excel in this role, you must have strong hands-on experience in coding, particularly in Java, along with proficiency in programming, data structures, algorithms, and SQL. Experience with RESTful APIs, system design, microservices architecture, and modern cloud-native technologies will be beneficial. Additionally, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work in fast-paced environments, and excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential. This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
