As a Java Developer at Team Geek Solutions, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust Java applications. You will be implementing microservices architecture to ensure optimal application performance and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Analyzing requirements and translating them into technical specifications, developing RESTful APIs, and mentoring junior developers will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will be expected to debug and troubleshoot existing applications, participate in Agile ceremonies, write clean and maintainable code following best practices, and conduct unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in Java development. A strong understanding of the Spring Framework, proficiency in developing RESTful services, experience with SQL database management, and familiarity with microservices architecture are essential. Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, solid debugging and problem-solving skills, and experience with version control systems like Git are also required. Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills with attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing technologies and methodologies are important for this role. Experience with cloud platforms is considered a plus.
