Java Developer / Senior Developer

You will be joining Valtech Mobility, a strategic business unit of Valtech Group, dedicated to enhancing mobility through innovative solutions. The primary focus is on developing cutting-edge connected vehicle technologies for global mobility providers and vehicle OEMs like VW, Toyota, Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini, and Skoda. As a technical expert, you will be an integral part of the global Connected Vehicle team. Key Requirements: - Mindset of taking responsibility for work from design to operations - Proficiency in building Java applications using Java 8 (and above), Spring Boot, and Hibernate - Ability to design scalable microservice architecture - Implementation of design patterns - Familiarity with web technologies including REST and Feign clients - Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) - Knowledge of Kubernetes-based deployments - Agile team experience with methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe - Eagerness to learn, build domain knowledge, and become a subject matter expert - Background in hands-on Platform Engineering role - Strong communication skills, proficient in English, and comfortable in a globally distributed team setting Ideal Qualifications: - Proficiency in monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana - Experience with Kafka and MQTT - Automation experience in software integration, testing, delivery, and deployment - Implementation experience on Cloud platforms (AWS) - Understanding of security techniques including Firewalls/Security Groups, Threat Modelling, and Dependency Management Valtech values skills and innovative ideas.
