Java Developer

As a Java Developer at our dynamic team in Gurgaon, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust software solutions that integrate with IoT devices and cloud platforms. Your role will involve building and maintaining our IoT ecosystem to ensure seamless data flow and efficient device management. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications and microservices for our IoT platform. - Integrating IoT devices and sensors with backend systems using communication protocols like MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP. - Developing and consuming RESTful APIs for data exchange between system components. - Working with databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MySQL for data storage and retrieval. - Utilizing cloud platforms (preferably Azure or AWS) for deploying, managing, and scaling IoT solutions. - Implementing security measures for IoT devices and data transmission. - Writing clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices. - Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing. - Troubleshooting and debugging issues across the entire IoT solution stack. - Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, data scientists, and product managers. - Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Java, IoT, and cloud computing. - Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. - Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. Required Skills: - Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript. - Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MySQL. - Solid understanding of IoT concepts, device communication protocols, and data management. - Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure or AWS). - Experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs. - Proficient in using Git for version control and collaboration. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Skills: - Experience with other IoT platforms or services. - Knowledge of other programming languages like Python. - Experience with message queuing systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. - Understanding of security best practices for IoT devices and cloud environments. - Experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes. - Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
