Java Developer

Role & responsibilities

• 6+ years overall experience in professional software engineering organization as a hands-on Java Spring boot developer.
• Experience building scalable components with a Microservice architecture
• Strong technical experience on server-side development (Java 8 or latest, Spring Boot, GCP, Kong API Gateway)
• Understanding and championing of functional programming paradigms and reactive programming (RxJava or similar framework)
• Strong experience in continuous build/integration/deployment tools including Jenkins, Git and Jira
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Checkmarx, Netsparker, Aquasec or similar)
• Experience working in Agile team & Troubleshooting skill. Experience of using Jira/Jenkins/Ansible for automated deployments
• GitHub or other automated source code control and release software. Ability to communicate effectively with senior business and IT and within the team.

Preferred candidate profile

• Hands-on work experience on Java Springboot development. Ability to write REST APIs using Spring Boot. Strong technical experience on server-side development (Java 8 or latest, Spring Boot, GCP, Kong API Gateway)
• Experience building scalable components with a Microservice architecture. Understanding and championing of functional programming paradigms and reactive programming (RxJava or similar framework)
• Strong experience in continuous build/integration/deployment tools including Jenkins, Git and Jira. Exposure to monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Checkmarx, Netsparker, Aquasec or similar)
• Experience working in Agile teams. Troubleshooting skills. Experience of using Jira/Jenkins/Ansible for automated deployments. GitHub or other automated source code control and release software.
• Can write IT unit test cases to verify functionalities and endpoints. Must have good understanding of database queries. Good to have exposure to opensource databases e.g., Mongo DB. Any cloud application E2E development knowledge
• Has prior hands-on experience around any CI-CD tooling. Candidate should be able to build a CI-CD pipeline for a new service / component. Always considers implementing Security around functionalities / services / endpoints
• Aware of working in Devops POD and expected to do production support on rotation basis.
• Technical Skills Required Java8, Junit, Spring Boot Micro services, Restfull Webservices API, Spring Batch, React Js (preferred), Hibernate and Spring JPA, SQL
