Write clean, efficient, and reusable code adhering to best practices and industry standards. Develop RESTful APIs for smooth integration with frontend services and third-party applications. Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas for high-performance operations using SQL /NoSQL databases. Ensure proper data modeling and implement efficient queries for both relational and non-relational databases. Cloud Integration: Work with cloud services like AWS to manage and deploy backend systems effectively (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.). Integrate cloud-based solutions and services to ensure smooth backend operations and scalability. Security & Performance: Implement security measures to protect user data and ensure backend systems are secure. Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operation. Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the alignment of backend services with business objectives. Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and collaborate on solutions. Testing & Deployment: Write unit, integration, and API tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the backend services. Work with DevOps teams to streamline deployment pipelines and automate workflows. Documentation: Document development processes, system architecture, and code for internal and external use. Provide detailed specifications and ensure proper code documentation for future scalability. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Strong experience in Java (Java 8 or newer) and related backend technologies. Proficiency with backend frameworks like Spring Boot or Java EE . Experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.) or other cloud platforms. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services. Knowledge of databases such as MySQL , PostgreSQL , MongoDB , or other relational/non-relational databases. Familiarity with version control systems like Git . Ability to write unit and integration tests (e.g., using JUnit, TestNG). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills: Experience with microservices architecture. Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes . Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices. Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for better collaboration with front-end teams. Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban .
