Java Backend Developer

As a Senior Java Backend Developer at our company located in Bangalore (Cessna Business Park), you will play a crucial role in our development team. We are seeking an individual with 5-7 years of experience in Java backend development to contribute towards building and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems using Java 8+. You will be tasked with creating RESTful APIs and microservices for both web and mobile applications. Optimization of applications for speed, scalability, and reliability will be a key focus area. Integration with relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB will also be part of your daily tasks. To excel in this position, you must write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams on planning, design, and feature implementation is essential. Participation in code reviews and contributing to team knowledge sharing are encouraged. Additionally, ensuring the security and data protection of backend applications and monitoring application performance to troubleshoot production issues will be part of your routine tasks. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience as a Java Backend Developer or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), and experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture are required. A good understanding of database technologies (SQL & NoSQL), version control systems (e.g., Git), software development lifecycle, and Agile methodologies is crucial. Familiarity with containerization and deployment (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is considered a plus. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills will be highly beneficial in this role.
