As an Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst at Citigroup, your role involves participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your primary objective is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. **Responsibilities:** - Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures, concepts, and other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements - Consult with users, clients, and technology groups on issues, recommend programming solutions, install and support customer exposure systems - Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications - Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, conduct testing and debugging - Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts - Identify problems, analyze information, and recommend and implement solutions - Resolve issues by applying technical experience and precedents - Operate with a limited level of direct supervision - Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy - Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and team members - Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations **Qualifications:** - 4-6 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry - Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role - Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills - Problem-solving and decision-making abilities - Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt to changes in expectations or requirements **Education:** - Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description is a high-level overview of the work performed.
