Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day desktop and laptop support to end users.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Operating Systems and standard applications.
• Perform basic server operations such as user management, shared folder access, and system monitoring.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Assist with application support, installation, updates, and basic debugging.
• Handle basic networking tasks including IP configuration, connectivity checks, LAN setup, and Wi-Fi issues.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with IT teams and vendors for escalations or hardware replacements.
• Maintain asset records, documentation of issues, and resolution steps.
• Ensure timely closure of tickets and deliver excellent customer support.
  

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong experience in desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Windows OS (Windows 10/11) and basic server concepts.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, user creation, and permission management (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN basics).
• Familiarity with antivirus, patching, and system monitoring tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and customer-handling skills.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science / IT / Electronics, or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSA, A+, N+ will be an added advantage.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in IT support or desktop support role.
