Position: IT Security Specialist

Exp: 10+ years

Location: Madurai.

(*Required background experience in Retailer*)

• Develop and implement an IT Security roadmap aligned with the organisations business and IT strategies.
• Establish, update, and maintain security protocols, standards, and policies.
• Design and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans.
• Conduct regular BCP/DR drills and audits to ensure effectiveness and readiness.
• Monitor systems continuously using audits and IT security tools to identify anomalies and potential threats.
• Enhance and update security measures based on findings from audits and incidents.
• Develop, review, and maintain Incident Response procedures.
• Respond effectively to data breaches and malware attacks following established Incident Response plans.
• Simulate data loss or breach scenarios to assess and improve recovery procedures.
• Develop and implement regular IT security training programs for employees.
• Promote awareness of cybersecurity threats and proactive response measures.
• Stay current on emerging threats, technologies, and security products.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools or solutions for threat mitigation and data protection.
  

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of industry-recognised security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
• Excellent research skills to stay updated on threat landscapes and security technologies.
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities to identify and respond to threats effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Effective team player with a collaborative mindset.
