IT Placement Officer

Job Summary:

The IT Placement Officer will be responsible for facilitating the placement of IT students and graduates in reputed organizations. The role involves building strong relationships with industry partners, understanding IT job requirements, training students for interviews, and ensuring successful placement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with IT companies, startups, and tech firms for campus recruitment drives.
• Identify placement opportunities and internship programs for students specializing in IT, Computer Science, and related fields.
• Organize placement activities such as career fairs, campus interviews, and pre-placement talks.
• Coordinate with academic departments to understand students’ skill sets and match them with industry requirements.
• Assist students with resume building, interview preparation, and soft skills training.
• Maintain a placement database with details of recruiters, job openings, and student placement records.
• Ensure high placement rates by strategically planning recruitment campaigns and outreach programs.
• Keep track of industry trends and new technologies to align students’ skills with market demands.
• Prepare placement reports and submit them to management on a regular basis.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the IT job market, roles, and career pathways.
• Ability to guide students in technical and soft skills for job readiness.
• Organizational and event management abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and online job platforms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, HR, or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in placement coordination, recruitment, or HR (IT sector preferred).
• Experience in academic institutions or training centers is an advantage.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
