Role Overview
The IT & GIS Expert will support in managing GIS applications, geospatial systems, and IT infrastructure. The role focuses on setting up and maintaining geospatial systems, establishing data standards, supporting digital platforms, and providing technical assistance for training and implementation of land and cadastral technology solutions. Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain GIS applications, IT systems, labs, and related infrastructure.
Develop and maintain geospatial data standards, metadata templates, and interoperability guidelines.
Manage and provide technical support for geospatial hardware including ETS, DGPS, and UAV/drone data repositories, where applicable.
Provide hands-on GIS and IT support during training programmes, workshops, and technical sessions.
Support the development and maintenance of web portals, dashboards, digital libraries, and internal digital platforms.
Ensure data quality, system reliability, and documentation of workflows and processes.

Qualifications and Experience

Master’s degree (or equivalent) in GIS, Geomatics, Geospatial Technology, Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
2–3 years of relevant experience in GIS systems, IT infrastructure, or geospatial projects.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or equivalent.
Experience with spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, or similar).
Understanding of geospatial data standards and metadata frameworks.
Familiarity with survey technologies (ETS, DGPS, UAV/drone data).
Basic knowledge of web GIS, dashboards, and IT infrastructure management.
