Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Executive / Field Support Engineer to manage, maintain, and support our IT infrastructure. This role combines responsibilities of network management, system administration, and customer support both onsite and remotely. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and be capable of resolving IT issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network & Infrastructure Management:
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Ensure network connectivity across all company sites and remote users.
  • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades of network systems and devices.
  • Server Administration:
  • Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, user accounts, and permissions.
  • Backup management, patch updates, and system security enforcement.
  • Monitor server performance and implement improvements as needed.
  • IT Customer Support:
  • Provide technical support to internal users via phone, email, remote desktop, or in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues across laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and hardware.
  • Field Support Engineer Duties:
  • Travel to client or remote office locations for onsite support and infrastructure setup.
  • Perform physical installations and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Maintain service logs and prepare reports for each field visit.
  • IT Executive Duties:
  • Manage IT assets and inventory.
  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement and support.
  • Assist in IT audits and documentation of IT processes and policies.
  • Security & Firewall Management:
  • Monitor and configure firewalls to ensure data security and protection.
  • Implement access controls and monitor for unauthorized activities.
  • Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
  • Experience with firewalls, switches, routers (Cisco, Fortinet, or similar).
  • Proficiency in managing Windows/Linux servers and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle field assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA A+/N+, or similar.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in an IT support or network/system admin role.
  • Experience working in multi-site or enterprise environments.

Working Conditions:

  • May require local travel for onsite support.
  • Ability to lift IT equipment (up to 20 kg) as part of hardware installations.
  • Flexible to work during off-hours for urgent support or maintenance activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
