IT Administrator

As a System Administrator in our Chennai location, your responsibilities will include installing and configuring software and hardware, managing network servers and technology tools, setting up accounts and workstations, monitoring performance, and maintaining systems according to requirements. You will troubleshoot issues and outages, ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls, and upgrade systems with new releases and models. Your role will involve developing expertise to train staff on new technologies and building an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies. Additionally, you will maintain all local software and hardware licensing to ensure conformance and support the determination of local and customer needs for yearly budgeting processes and request for proposal processes. To qualify for this position, you should hold a B.Tech / BE degree and have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in IT system administration. You must possess a working knowledge of IT operating systems, particularly Windows and IOS, along with hands-on experience in installing IT hardware and software. Strong communication skills are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or a similar role. Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management is required, as well as familiarity with Firewall management. You should be capable of handling LAN / WAN networks and coordinating with ISPs, in addition to working with vendors for purchasing or renting laptops and desktops. Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery, along with familiarity with various operating systems and platforms, will be advantageous.
