Description
Role & responsibilities Administer and maintain LAN/WAN networks, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers. Manage and configure firewalls (SOPHOS, Cisco, etc.) to ensure network security and compliance. Handle installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware (servers, desktops, printers, etc.) and software across the organization. Oversee administration of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and VoIP systems. Manage cloud infrastructure including AWS, Azure, or GCP for hosting, backup, and disaster recovery. Maintain virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V to support virtual environments. Monitor system performance, perform routine audits and backups, and ensure high availability of IT services. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software support and procurement. Ensure adherence to IT security protocols, access control, and data protection standards. Provide technical support to internal users and ensure timely resolution of IT issues. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in IT administration and network engineering. Proficient in managing Cisco infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers. Strong knowledge of firewall technologies (SOPHOS, Cisco ASA, etc.). Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V). Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for both hardware and software issues. Experience in administering and securing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and VoIP systems.
