P10 is seeking a hands-on IoT Engineer to join our R&D and Solutions Lab , a fast-paced and innovation-driven team responsible for building IoT prototypes, edge solutions, device integrations, and cloud-connected applications that showcase P10 s end-to-end engineering capabilities.
In this role, you will work across multiple IoT platforms, devices, sensors, protocols, and cloud services , rapidly build proof-of-concepts , and integrate hardware with scalable software systems. You will support solution architects in designing robust IoT architectures and collaborate closely with Sales, COEs, and cross-functional technology teams to enable pre-sales discussions, customer demonstrations, and solution validation .
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys experimentation, hands-on problem solving, and real-world system integration , and who wants to build end-to-end IoT solutions, from device and edge to cloud and analytics across diverse domains.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. IoT Solution Development
Develop end-to-end IoT prototypes including device firmware, gateway applications, and cloud connectivity.
Integrate sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers using standard protocols.
Design and build quick PoCs and demos that showcase People10 s IoT capabilities.
Work with architects to translate business requirements into IoT technical approaches.
2. Device & Edge Developmen t
Program microcontrollers / microprocessors (ESP32, Arduino, ARM, Raspberry Pi).
Implement device drivers, data acquisition, and power-optimized edge logic.
Develop edge applications using Python/C++.
3. Connectivity & Protocols
Implement MQTT, HTTP/REST, WebSockets, BLE, Modbus, OPC-UA, LoRaWAN or similar protocols.
Ensure secure device onboarding, messaging, and identity management.
4. Cloud & Platform Integration
Connect devices to cloud IoT platforms: AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or GCP IoT.
Build data ingestion pipelines and integrate with cloud functions, stream processors, and storage services.
Deploy IoT dashboards and visualizations (Grafana, Power BI, custom UI).
5. Collaboration & Solutioning
Support Sales and Pre-Sales teams with technical inputs and feasibility assessments.
Collaborate with COE teams (Cloud, Data, AI/ML) on end-to-end solutions.
Assist in writing architecture documents, diagrams, and PoC reports.
Review and unblock team members facing IoT integration challenges.
