Job Title: Quality Engineer - Automation Position: Senior Test Engineer Experience: 5 - 8 Years Category: Software Development/ Engineering Main location: Chennai Position ID: J0724-0687 Employment Type: Full Time Works independently under limited supervision and applies knowledge of subject matter in Applications Development. Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively deal with issues, challenges within field of specialization to develop simple applications solutions. Second level professional with direct impact on results and outcome. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Your future duties and responsibilities Design and develop automated test scripts using testing frameworks such as Selenium/Cucumber/BDD framework Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects or issues Collaborate with development team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues Design and maintain automated test suites to ensure adequate coverage of functionality Participate in code reviews to ensure testability of code and identify areas for test automation Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans and test cases Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software testing Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of software products Required qualifications to be successful in this role Position: Senior Test Engineer Experience: 5 - 8 Years Main location: Chennai Must-Have Skills: Candidate should be excellent in testing Android POS, defect management 3+ years of experience. Candidates should have Selenium/Cucumber/BDD framework work experience. Must have excellent GUI, API testing with Karate Framework. Excellent in Java programming and Object oriented concepts. Should have exposure to in-sprint automation Should have good exposure in creating simple/medium/complex SQL queries. Good exposure to agile testing process. Build and Maintain Selenium/Cucumber/BDD framework automation suits. Execute GUI, API testing as required including Karate Framework. Should have excellent communication skill to interact with BA s and LOB. Deliver overall test deliverables of assigned project from inception to deployment. Acts Single point of Contact for testing efforts for the assigned module/application. Create and Maintain Automation suites based on Java programming and Object oriented concepts. Perform in-sprint automation within assigned project for all phases of test life cycle As a member of agile team, participate in all ceremonies, scrum calls, demos and planning sessions. Maintain constant communication with BA s, LOB and other project members. Good-to-Have Skills: Should have good exposure in creating simple/medium/complex SQL queries. Should have excellent communication skill to interact with BA’s and LOB.
