Role: Investment Manager (Treasury and Fund Management) Location: L&T House, Mumbai (Andheri for some time) Job Type: Full-time Education : MBA Finance, CA, CFA Total Exp : 6 to 8 years Functional/Role Overview: The treasury/investment function is managed by L&T Corporate Finance team handing a having a sizeable investment portfolio. The job holder will be accountable for overseeing and optimizing the assigned investment portfolio comprising of main book, PF, and other entities. We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Investment Professional with a strong foundation in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs), equity derivatives (F&O), macroeconomic analysis, and fixed income markets. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in evaluating alternative investment opportunities, generating tactical trading strategies, and contributing to asset allocation decisions. Key specific deliverables of this role are: REIT & InvIT Analysis Conduct financial and qualitative evaluation of listed and private REITs/ InvITs. Monitor market trends, cap rates, occupancy rates, and regulatory developments. Build and maintain valuation models, forecast cash flows and distribution yields. Equity & F&O Trading Develop and execute equity and derivatives (F&O) trading strategies. Track sectoral and index-level movements for tactical trading insights. Macroeconomic & Fixed Income Research Analyse macroeconomic indicators including GDP, inflation, interest rates, and global economic trends. Interpret central bank policies and their impact on equity and bond markets. Other related generic responsibilities/expectations: Analyse market research reports to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in financial markets as per L&T plans. Network with fund managers, investment bankers, and brokers. To be able to extract intelligent insights and ability/risk capacity to invest/close deals. Capacity to handle large and diverse portfolios comprising government securities, mutual funds, and other investment options like Infrastructure Investment Trust (Investing in trust who owns actual physical assets) Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with organizational goals and risk appetite. Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, making timely adjustments to maximize returns and minimize risks. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimize cash flow management and liquidity. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting portfolio performance, investment strategy updates, and market insights. Stay updated with regulatory changes and industry trends affecting treasury and fund management. Candidate profile: Solid understanding of evaluating alternate assets like Reits & Invits for investment Solid Understanding of credit analysis for bond investment and ability to make credit note for investment committee. Comfortable with using complex financial models for evaluating alternate assets. Interest in Equity futures trading and ability to develop option strategies to generate consistent risk adjusted returns Willingness to learn and track various macro indicators for effective and holistic decision making. Willingness to learn trading & Investing in fixed income security like Government bond, Corporate bond etc Strong analytical skills coupled with risk taking capacity to invest post interpretation of complex financial data and market trends. Effective communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely. Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
