JobType: full-time

As anInterventional Neurosurgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating complex neurological conditions using minimally invasive and image-guided procedures. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists to deliver best-in-class care for patients with vascular disorders of the brain and spine, tumors, spinal cord diseases, and traumatic injuries.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced interventional neurosurgical procedures such as endovascular coiling, embolization, and angioplasty for treating aneurysms, AVMs, strokes, and other cerebrovascular conditions.
  • Manage both elective and emergency neurosurgical cases with precision and care.
  • Collaborate with neuro-interventional radiology and critical care teams to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely intervention.
  • Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and multi-disciplinary team meetings.
  • Stay updated with emerging techniques in minimally invasive neurosurgery and continually improve surgical skills and patient outcomes.
  • Provide patient consultation, explain treatment plans and surgical risks, and ensure post-operative follow-up and care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and comply with hospital protocols and ethical practices.
  • Contribute to academic and research initiatives and mentor junior residents or fellows as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education:M.Ch. in Neurosurgery from a recognized medical institution.
  • Experience:15 years of experience in neurosurgery; candidates with fellowship training or hands-on exposure in interventional neurosurgical techniques will be given preference.
  • Strong foundation in general neurosurgical procedures with a focused interest or experience in interventional techniques.
  • Proficient in interpreting neuroimaging studies including MRI, CT, and DSA.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and the ability to work under pressure in critical care settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a patient-first approach to care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high-volume, high-intensity clinical environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and clinical teams.
