Purpose of this role

What you need to have

  • 3-5 years of proven B2B sales experience in international logistics mandotary
  • Person should have the exposure with major marine shipping line/NVOCCS and worked from INDIA, CAMBODIA, Bangladesh.
  • Ability to freight forwarding, or 3PL with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Should demonstrate client acquisition and retention skills. Candidate needs to be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Results-Oriented: Proven history of exceeding sales targets.
  • Relationship Builder: Excels at networking and building trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of international logistics and India-US trade regulations.
  • Adaptable: Thrives in remote, cross-time-zone environments.
  • Persuasive Communicator: Skilled in pitching value propositions and negotiating deals.
  • Analytical: Uses data to identify opportunities and forecast trends. Skilled in leveraging HubSpot or similar CRM tool.
  • Resilient: Handles rejection and persists in competitive markets.
  • Ethical: Maintains integrity in compliance-heavy industries.

Key Responsibilities & Expected outcomes:

  • Acquire new shipper clients of India, focusing on high-volume exporters (50+ containers/year to US East Coast).
  • Generate $1-2 million in annual recurring revenue from new contracts.
  • Achieve 80% client retention rate through follow-up collaborations.
  • Build a sales pipeline of 50+ qualified leads quarterly via prospecting and networking.
  • Reduce average sales cycle to under 90 days by tailoring pitches to Savannah's advantages.
  • Conduct 10+ market intelligence reports on export trends and competitors of India.
  • Facilitate 5+ cross-border pilot projects with US teams.
