Internal Audit Associate

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 01 year of experience to join our Internal Audit team. The role will involve conducting audits, evaluating internal controls, and supporting risk management activities across a global R&D organization. This position is ideal for a recently qualified CA looking to build a career in internal audit, risk, and governance.

Internal Audit Execution

• Assist in planning, scoping, and executing internal audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas.
• Perform process walkthroughs, control testing, data analysis, and documentation.
• Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.

Risk & Compliance

• Support the development of the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessments.
• Review compliance with internal policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements.
• Assist in monitoring action plans and follow-up on audit observations.

Financial Controls & Reporting

• Test the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls under internal guidelines.
• Prepare audit reports, working papers, and dashboards in a clear and structured format.

Required Skill

• Individual should have strong written and verbal communications skills involving cross functional environment.
• Strong understanding of audit procedures, internal controls, accounting standards and documentation requirements.
• Working knowledge of Accounting Standards, accounting principles, GAAP, compliance requirements, tax laws etc.
• Right attitude, flexible and creative.
• Capable of working independently with minimal guidance / instructions.
• Strong analytical skills, hands on experience in usage of MS office tools for the audit purposes and the ability to influence at all levels

Must to Have

• Chartered Accountant (CA), recently qualified (01 year Post Qualification Experience).

Good to Have

• Completed articleship from a reputed CA firm (Big 4/large mid-size firm preferred).

• Handled statutory audits, internal audits, or tax audits of reasonably sized listed/unlisted companies

  during articleship.
