About the Role

Tathastu Architects, Rajkot is hiring a 2D Interior Designer with strong drafting and technical drawing skills to support ongoing interior projects. The role focuses on accurate 2D documentation, space planning, and coordination drawings for residential and commercial interiors.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare space planning layouts and furniture arrangements for interior projects.
Draft detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and reflected ceiling plans.
Work with correct dimensions, scales, and drawing standards for all 2D drawings.
Convert 3D models into clear 2D plans, elevations, and sections for execution.
Create presentation drawings and sheets with layouts, title blocks, legends, and annotations.
Set up drawings for print and plotting, ensuring proper sheet sizes and scales.
Prepare technical drawings including electrical, plumbing, and basic HVAC/AC layouts.
Follow office drafting standards for layers, symbols, notations, and coordination drawings.
Coordinate with architects and interior designers to update drawings as per design changes.

Requirements

Diploma or bachelor's degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in interior drafting or 2D documentation.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) for 2D drafting and detailing.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of SketchUp for reading and converting 3D models is preferred.
Strong understanding of technical drawings, building elements, and interior detailing.
Good attention to detail, accuracy in dimensions, and ability to follow standards.
Ability to work on-site full-time in Rajkot and collaborate with the design team.
