Interior Designer and Draftsman

Role & responsibilities

The duties & responsibilities for the desired person are as follows:

• Planning, designing & supervising minor &major renovations, remodeling and additions.
• Preparing of construction drawings &documents, along with specifications, review bid documents.
• Meeting with department heads or representatives to determine interior architecture needs including determining space allocations.
• Utilization of paints, textures, fabrics etc and color selections of wall, floor, and window coverings.
• Arranging illustrative materials on available products and materials for selection by the user.
• Meeting with vendors, suppliers and contractors. Review interior needs with sales representatives and vendors to determine who can provide the best service.
• Preparing of proposals for design work including sketches and costs estimates for labor, equipment, and materials.
• Preparing of final designs and specifications within budgetary restrictions.
• Assisting estimators with complex interior projects.
• Performing necessary drafting work for projects.
• Performing any kind of related work as required on sites for the projects.

Preferred candidate profile

• The person should be an architect/ Interior designer degree / diploma holder (Minimum of two years regular course from any good institute)
• The candidate should have designed some branded retail lifestyle stores, roll outs, restaurants, cafeterias, hotels or some commercial offices.
• The candidate should have done a course in AutoCad of minimum of six months.
• The candidate should posses a good knowledge of excel, PowerPoint and word.
• The person should be residing in Gurgaon or NCR or should re-locate close to office address
• The person should have worked as a retail interior designer for a minimum required years for the position for interior designer retail.
• The candidate’s English communication and written skills should be good as he would be dealing with the clients directly.
• For TC / TL position the person should have handled a team and should have leadership qualities.
• The person should be able and willing to travel extensively on PAN India or any required destination as per the designated schedule.
• The person should be of a stable nature and should have not switched too many jobs in the past.
• He should be proficient in making BOQ’s and BOM and taking site measurement.
• He should be proficient AutoCAD and any other software related to day to day functioning.
