Interior Design - Project Management Intern

As an Interior Design - Project Management Intern at Elemondo Interiors, you will play a key role in creating beautiful, timeless, and functional spaces tailored to individual personalities and lifestyles. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in space planning, selecting furniture and finishes, coordinating FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment), and supporting overall project management tasks. You will work closely with clients, collaborate with the design team, and ensure projects are completed within timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Your daily tasks will involve planning, scheduling, and overseeing multiple interior design projects from concept to completion. You will be responsible for coordinating with designers, vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution. Regular site visits will be required to monitor work progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications. You will supervise contractors, carpenters, electricians, and other laborers to ensure timely work completion and compliance with safety protocols. As a key point of contact for clients, you will provide updates, address concerns, and source high-quality materials that align with the design vision. Negotiating with vendors and contractors for cost-effective solutions will also be part of your role. Maintaining high standards in execution, conducting regular quality checks, and preparing reports on project progress are essential tasks to ensure every detail aligns with the approved design. To excel in this role, you should have skills in Space Planning and Interior Design, experience in selecting and coordinating Furniture and FF&E, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and collaborate effectively with team members. A Bachelor's degree or ongoing studies in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
