Interior Design Manager

As an Interior Design Manager, you will be responsible for utilizing your in-depth knowledge of furniture systems and finishes to demonstrate a solid understanding of basic principles of space planning. Your role will involve developing and presenting design concepts, analyzing space and design planning for the implementation of interior design strategies, and effectively communicating project goals and deadlines with clients, contractors, and staff. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, painters, builders, and other stakeholders to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed. By analyzing movement and use patterns of the space, preparing sketches or visual aids, and consulting with clients to select materials, furnishings, and decor, you will bring design concepts to life. Your proficiency in design applications, such as computer-aided design (CAD) software and Google Sketch-up, will enable you to prepare and illustrate final plans effectively. Additionally, you will be responsible for determining timelines and project costs, ordering necessary materials, supervising installations, and ensuring client satisfaction by addressing any concerns or complaints. To excel in this role, you should possess excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, a keen sense of style for creating aesthetically pleasing interiors, and strong visual design skills focusing on proportion and aesthetics. Your ability to communicate effectively, utilize design software, understand building codes, and stay updated on interior design trends and developments will be crucial.
