Role Overview

The Insurance Advisor is responsible for identifying potential customers, understanding their insurance needs, and recommending suitable insurance products. The role involves building long-term relationships with clients, providing financial guidance, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the policy lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and connect with potential customers through various channels (cold calls, referrals, field visits, social media, etc.).

Client Needs Assessment: Understand clients’ financial goals, family needs, and risk profile to recommend appropriate insurance plans.

Product Presentation: Clearly explain insurance products, features, benefits, premiums, and terms & conditions.

Sales & Advisory: Provide professional advice on life, health, investment-linked or general insurance products.

Policy Issuance Support: Assist clients with documentation, application forms, KYC, and underwriting requirements.

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.

After-Sales Service: Handle queries related to policy servicing, claims, renewals, and updates.

Compliance: Adhere to regulatory guidelines and company standards while conducting all sales activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum qualification: 12th pass (Bachelor's degree preferred)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Customer-centric mindset

Ability to understand financial concepts

Sales experience (preferred but not mandatory)

Basic computer and smartphone proficiency

IRDAI certification (company will assist if not completed)
