About the role:

Instrumentation Engineer activities to work on Basic & Detail Engineering of Instrumentation & control systems in close liaison with multi-discipline project teams for Textile, Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Water & Power Projects.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing project schedules / plans, engineering designs / drawings and technical specifications as per clients requirements, process flow and P&IDs.
• System safety, functionality and availability during all stages of design, manufacturing, routine testing and commissioning.
• Discussion with Vendors and Technical bid evaluation of Instrumentation equipment for safety, performance and functionality for required applications.
• Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
• Conducting effective resource planning for optimising man & machine utilisation, reducing wastes for enhancing productivity and profitability.
• Full understanding of relevant Instrumentation Installation Regulations, IS, IEC, BS, AS, SANS, NES, NFPA, NEMA , IEEE and SIL standards.
• Working knowledge of IS and IEC Performance Standards.
• Ensure Quality standards are adhered to by checking accuracy of work before it gets issued

Candidate requirements:

• Full understanding & prepare documentation/ drawings related to Instrumentation and control.
• Preparation of Instrument index & IO list by review the P&ID.
• Preparation of Technical specifications/ datasheets for various field instruments, Interconnection diagrams and instrument loop diagrams.
• Preparing TBE, Pneumatic and Process Hook-up diagrams, design basis, cable and JB schedule.
• Plan and preparation of Control Room Layout, Cable Tray Layout, Interconnection Diagrams.
• Prepare Sizing calculations for flow elements and control valve.
• Prepare Tender documents, bill of quantities & cost estimates, Project management and site supervision, Guide Designers & Draftsman for 3D modelling and drafting & design standards.
• Review drawings and specifications prepared by Vendors and Contractors.
• Performs other duties as assigned by lead such as specifications, material requisitions, checking of calculations, drawing recheck, review of shop details, etc.
• B.E / B. Tech in Instrumentation Engineering
