Instrumentation Designer

As an Instrumentation Design Engineer at our company, you will be an integral part of our dynamic engineering team in Bangalore. Your primary focus will be on offshore projects, where you will utilize your expertise in instrumentation design tools to deliver high-impact results. You will collaborate with a global team to work on both offshore and onshore projects. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and review instrumentation deliverables such as IO List, Instrument Index, P&IDs, Hook-up drawings, JB schedules, Cable Schedules, and Cable Tray layouts - Prepare and validate SP3D and E3D instrumentation models, including instrument location plans and cable routing - Interpret project specifications and client requirements - Coordinate with process, electrical, mechanical, and civil teams - Review vendor documents to ensure design compliance - Support site surveys, FAT/SAT, and commissioning activities - Mentor junior engineers (for senior roles) and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables **Qualifications & Skills:** - B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related discipline - 5-9 years (Junior) or 10-14 years (Senior) of instrumentation design experience - Proficiency in IO List, P&ID, Hook-up drawings, JB schedules, SP3D / E3D modeling tools, cable tray routing, and layout design - Offshore oil & gas project experience preferred - Familiarity with IEC, ISA, API standards - Strong communication and collaboration skills In addition to the above, preferred experience includes offshore platform design (FPSO, fixed platforms, etc.), hazardous area classification, Ex-rated instrumentation, and Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools).
