Role & responsibilities Department Management: Support in implementing manpower plan, so that management can evaluate the utilization/monitor work load of each individual employee for upcoming 2-3 months. Accordingly we can plan resources for upcoming projects Review allocation of projects and advise resource utilization Performance appraisal Department Team building activities. Conduct monthly meetings for department and make MOM Ensuring that the department members work in accordance as per System. Actively building supportive relationships and communication within the team. Directly managing HR related matters such as performance reviews, recruitment, performance management, mobilization / demobilization, etc. Mentoring and coaching the project teams and workgroups. Training needs Arranging training/informative sessions like product/technical presentations from vendor which can be utilized in the design developments of any projects. Same can be arranged in between departments. conduct software validation for software/excel files used Leave plan for employees People Skills: Able to create and work in diverse team. Builds appropriate, constructive, and effective business relationships throughout the organization. Knows difference between manager and leader Technical Competency: When working as a Lead engineer: Prepare, or team prepares all instrumentation deliverables as per schedule and of quality Supports adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful. Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence. Supports the processes for checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings. Ensure recognized onshore & offshore engineering practices applicable to Electrical design engineering are adopted. Prepares design specifications for Electrical works. Develop/follow check-list and ensure document quality of very high standards are met Project Execution: Knows the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success. Supports management of project change and progressing for the discipline and works with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, progressing, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability. Plans discipline quality, monitors quality activities, squad checking, drives and participates in squad checking, recommends improvements, and takes action where required. Provide technical support within the discipline team, liaise with the project team, and consult with relevant resources as required Coordinate review and approval of design and interfaces on client requirements and specifications.
