Role Overview: The Floor Manager at Innotrat Labs is a critical hands-on role responsible for overseeing daily technical operations, supporting our R&D and production teams, and ensuring the quality and serviceability of our electronic products. This position requires a highly skilled individual with a strong background in electronics, repair, troubleshooting, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities: ● Perform and oversee precision hand soldering (including SMD/BGA rework) for electronic components, ensuring high quality and adherence to specifications during production and rework processes. ● Assemble, install, and test electronic components, circuits, and devices as per design requirements. ● Maintain and troubleshoot various manufacturing and testing equipment on the floor. ● Collaborate closely with the R&D team for advanced troubleshooting of prototypes and new designs. ● Provide valuable technical insights and feedback to R&D for design improvements and manufacturability enhancements. ● Assist in optimizing production processes based on R&D specifications and feedback. ● Support procurement activities by providing technical specifications for components and raw materials. ● Assist in quality checking incoming electronic components and materials to ensure they meet required standards. ● Liaise with the procurement team to address technical issues with suppliers or alternate component sourcing. ● Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware failures at the chip level for existing products and return merchandise. ● Perform comprehensive circuit board repairs and reworks, ensuring functionality and quality post-repair. ● Conduct root cause analysis on failed products and suggest corrective actions to prevent recurrence. ● Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, failures, and fixes for continuous improvement. ● Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and team members on the floor. ● Coordinate daily tasks and resources to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of production and service targets. ● Ensure strict adherence to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols and workplace safety standards across all operations. ● Read and interpret schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical manuals to aid in troubleshooting and repair. ● Maintain accurate records of all repair, rework, and testing activities. Qualifications & Skills: ● High School Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent technical certification. ● Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in electronic product servicing, troubleshooting, repair, and assembly, preferably in consumer, industrial, or security electronics. ● Proven experience with precision hand soldering, including SMD (Surface-Mount Device) and BGA (Ball Grid Array) rework. Technical Proficiency: ● Strong knowledge of microprocessors, ICs, and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) repair techniques. ● Proficiency in using testing tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, hot air rework stations, and infrared reflow ovens. ● Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware failures at the chip level. ● Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail. ● Strong ability to work effectively with R&D, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams. ● Good communication skills to provide technical guidance and maintain records. ● Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, dynamic startup environment.
