Injection Mold Design

As a Production Engineer in the TDE (Tool & Die Engineering) division of TDSG (Tool Design) at Gurgaon, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Independently handling Mold flow & cooling analysis (simulation) and mold design of big plastic parts such as car bumpers and instrument panels. - Having knowledge of plastic part quality issues and injection mold processes from machining, assembly, and trials to be able to take necessary countermeasures in design. Qualifications required for this position include: - Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Tooling (Tool and Die Making from TRTC, CITD, etc.), Mechanical/Production. - Experience needed is Diploma - 7 to 12 years and B.Tech - 2 to 6 years. Your responsibilities will include: Project Planning: - Coordinating with customers for project planning, ECN implementation, costing, etc. CAE (mold flow simulation): - Conducting mold flow analysis and cooling analysis for big plastic car parts like bumpers and instrument panels. - Providing countermeasures for mold flow issues. - Managing closure of all feedback with internal customers. Mold design: - Designing molds for big parts like bumpers and instrument panels. - Having knowledge of hot runner systems in molds. - Reviewing part/product design and injection mold design for issues and taking countermeasures in new mold development. - Making/reviewing 2D drawings and electrode designs for mold manufacturing. Mold manufacturing: - Utilizing machining knowledge. - Having mold assembly and spotting knowledge. - Inspecting molds at various stages of manufacturing. - Addressing mold trial issues, defects, and implementing necessary countermeasures. - Having knowhow of optimum process parameter setting and cycle time reduction techniques. Competencies/Skills required for this role: - Good knowledge of software such as UG NX, Autodesk Moldflow. - Experience in the Automobile OEM industry.,
