Infrastructure Data Center Administrator

Job Summary

We are seeking an Infrastructure Data Center Administrator to manage, maintain, and support critical data center infrastructure. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and security of servers, storage, networking equipment, and DC facilities while adhering to SLAs and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day data center operations including servers, racks, and cabling
• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers (Dell/HP/IBM)
• Monitor DC infrastructure health and respond to incidents and alerts
• Handle rack & stack, power connections, and structured cabling
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacement, AMC, and warranty support
• Support Windows/Linux servers (basic administration and monitoring)
• Monitor and maintain storage systems (SAN/NAS)
• Assist in backup, restore, and DR activities
• Ensure asset management, documentation, and inventory tracking
• Follow change management, incident management, and ITIL processes
• Ensure physical security and access control within the data center
• Support DC migrations, upgrades, and capacity planning
• Coordinate with network, security, and application teams

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of Data Center operations & best practices
• Hands-on experience with rack/stack, cabling, power, cooling
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Windows Server / Linux OS
• Understanding of VMware / Hyper-V virtualization
• Knowledge of Storage technologies (SAN, NAS, RAID)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and DC management systems
• Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / BE / BTech / BSc / BCA in Computer Science or related field
• Relevant certifications (preferred):
• ITIL Foundation
• VMware / Microsoft / Linux certifications
• Data Center Operations / Infrastructure certifications

Behavioral & Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work in 24×7 DC environment
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Team player with ability to handle high-pressure situations

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Experience in enterprise or colocation data centers
• Exposure to cloud integration (AWS/Azure – basic)
• Knowledge of compliance standards (ISO, SOC, PCI – basic awareness)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
