As a Senior Infrastructure Architect you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining highly reliable and scalable systems in a hybrid multi-cloud environment. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement in our environments and supporting our clients transformation journey to the cloud.

Your Role And Responsibilities

IBM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Architect with expertise in Hybrid Cloud technologies, Automation and AI tools, Application Development, and IT Leadership to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining highly reliable and scalable systems in a hybrid multi-cloud environment. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement in our environments and supporting our clients transformation journey to the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and physical facilities, to support business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs, advise, and design well-engineered information systems.
• Focus on Automation, AI tools, and Application Development to ensure a flawless experience for users and drive efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategies for system resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Contribute to the creation of learning plans and training materials to share best practices and experiences of practicing Infrastructure Architecture.
• Mentor and guide junior Infrastructure Architects, helping them to broaden their skills and improve visibility on their career path.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Hybrid Cloud technologies, Automation, AI tools, and Application Development.
  

Requirements

Required technical and professional expertise

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect or similar role, with a strong focus on Hybrid Cloud technologies, Automation, AI tools, and Application Development.
• Deep skills in multiple domains, including software, programming, data structures, algorithms, and systems.
• Experience operating software on internal and external infrastructure at scale in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of Automation, AI tools, and Application Development principles.
• Familiarity with IBM Cloud platform and services is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think holistically about application availability and reliability in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to share knowledge and experiences, contributing to the Infrastructure Architecture Center of Excellence.
