Information Specialist

The job involves providing business information, administration, and helpdesk support on a global scale. Your primary responsibility will be to retrieve business/financial-related information using various resources such as online databases, the internet, print sources, trade associations, etc. It is crucial to work closely with global staff to ensure information requests are processed promptly while maintaining high quality standards. As part of your role, you will be required to adhere to the ethical standards outlined in the Citi Code of Conduct. Safeguarding private and confidential information is paramount, and you must protect such information from disclosure, loss, or misuse. Any confidential information should only be utilized for the purpose of fulfilling your employment responsibilities. Ideal candidates for this position should have a graduate degree (e.g., B.com/BMS/BFM/BAF/BBI/BBA) and possess basic financial knowledge. The ability to work in shifts within a fast-paced 24x7 operational environment is essential. Strong team player skills are necessary to collaborate effectively across teams, share information, and work together towards common goals. In this role, you will need to perform well under pressure, maintain a high level of accuracy, and prioritize work effectively to meet tight deadlines. Communication skills are key, as you will be required to interact with global coordinators/teams regularly regarding various projects and assignments. Familiarity with information retrieval systems like Factiva and Thomson products is preferred. An understanding of different types of business information, including public and private company filing requirements/data, news, M&A and capital issues, fundamentals, broker research, earnings estimates, ownership data, etc., would be advantageous. The ability to think independently and exercise balanced judgment will also be essential for success in this position.,
