Job Description

As an Electronics Industrialization Engineer at Ultraviolette, you will play a crucial role in driving the transition of products from design to scalable, high-quality manufacturing. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the industrialization lifecycle from prototype to mass production, ensuring design intent is preserved. - Translating engineering designs into production-ready documentation such as BOMs, gerbers, and PCBA specs. - Performing design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) reviews. - Owning ramp-up quality metrics like yield, test coverage, and field return trends. - Collaborating with R&D on thermal design reviews, layout strategies, and power component derating. - Ensuring compliance with safety standards and acting as a technical bridge between internal teams and EMS partners. - Evaluating suppliers, qualifying alternate components, and driving cost engineering efforts. - Coordinating with EMS on NPI builds, process validation, and first article inspection. - Supporting issue resolution across mechanical fit, electrical problems, firmware compatibility, and yield optimization. - Validating hardware-software integration under production conditions with software teams. Qualifications & Skills required for this role: - B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or a related discipline. - 5-10 years of experience in hardware industrialization. - Solid knowledge of PCB design reviews, SMT/PCBA manufacturing, and box build. - Experience with Altium, OrCAD, or similar tools for PCB-level discussions. - Hands-on experience with test development, ICT/FCT setups, fixture design, and test station qualification. - Familiarity with component lifecycle management, cost-down strategies, and BOM optimization. - Experience in firmware flashing, basic embedded debug, and validation steps. - Strong communication skills for cross-functional coordination. - Willingness to travel to EMS and supplier sites as needed. - Experience in cost-down and value engineering. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): - Knowledge of FMEA, APQP, PPAP, or ISO/IATF processes. - Familiarity with compliance and safety standards such as IEC, ISO26262 for functional safety.
