As a Pre-production specialist, your role involves preparing the ideal workplace layout and ensuring adherence to standardized methods and layouts. You will be responsible for identifying discrepancies in sewing operations and collaborating with the design team or customers for resolution. Additionally, you will need to identify potential overconsumption of accessories and estimate the same. Your expertise in arriving at the Standard Minute Value (SMV) using GSD software will be crucial for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare the ideal workplace layout and ensure adherence to standardized methods and layouts. - Address discrepancies in sewing operations with the design team or customers for resolution. - Identify potential overconsumption of accessories and estimate accordingly. - Calculate the Standard Minute Value (SMV) from first principles using GSD software. In terms of Line Balancing, you will need to coordinate with the head supervisor to allocate SMOs/machines appropriately to various operations. It will be your responsibility to maintain optimum Work-In-Progress (WIP) flow between operations and clear bottlenecks efficiently. Loading Plan management is another key aspect of your role. You will provide feedback on the loading plan to Shift Managers and other relevant individuals in the planning department. Your focus will be on maintaining efficiency in the assigned lines as per the plan to ensure overall factory efficiency aligns with the set plan. When it comes to Style Overlap, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling style overlaps in coordination with Group leaders. Effective work allocation during style changes will be essential to minimize efficiency drops. Additionally, you will be tasked with preparing the Work Distribution Plan, Work Flow Charts, and planning machine setups in collaboration with the Group to achieve the required throughput time.
