As a Pre-production specialist, your role involves preparing the ideal workplace layout and ensuring adherence to standardized methods and layouts. You will be responsible for identifying discrepancies in sewing operations and collaborating with the design team or customers for resolution. Additionally, you will need to identify potential overconsumption of accessories and estimate the same. You will also be required to arrive at the Standard Minute Value (SMV) through first principles using GSD software. Your key responsibilities will include: - Coordinating with the head supervisor to allocate SMOs/machines appropriately to various operations for line balancing. This includes maintaining optimum work-in-progress (WIP) flow between operations and clearing bottlenecks. - Providing feedback on the loading plan to Shift Managers and relevant personnel in planning. You will also need to ensure efficiency in the assigned lines as per the plan to maintain the overall factory efficiency. - Planning and scheduling style overlaps in coordination with Group leaders. Allocating work effectively to minimize efficiency drop during style changes. You will also be responsible for preparing the Work Distribution Plan, Work Flow Charts, and planning machine setups with the Group to achieve the required throughput time.
