Industrial Engineer (IE Manager)

As a professional in the role, your responsibilities will include: - Following up with pre-production activities to ensure timely execution. - Reviewing the planning chart and allocating styles based on factory requirements and delivery dates. Coordinating with the planning department to schedule similar styles for production lines. - Working towards reducing changeover time to enhance operational efficiency. - Conducting training sessions for junior staff on time study and method study techniques. - Reviewing Management Information System (MIS) reports for performance evaluation. - Analyzing Technical Change Request (TCR) reports to address any necessary modifications. - Ensuring that all production lines are focused on achieving incentives and meeting efficiency targets. - Effectively utilizing manpower resources to optimize productivity levels. - Identifying opportunities for implementing low-cost automation and semi-automation processes within the organization. - Updating the skill matrix every three months to track employee development. - Conducting grading assessments for new operators to match them with suitable tasks. - Collaborating with management to raise requests for new machinery, folders, and attachments well in advance. - Driving efficiency incentives to motivate the workforce and enhance performance. - Implementing kaizen initiatives on all production lines and providing training to junior staff. Monitoring the progress of kaizen implementation and updating Continuous Improvement Engineering (CIE) records. - Sharing time study data of all styles with the CIE team and other factories to facilitate process improvements. - Organizing training programs for workers and staff members to enhance their skills in areas such as Line Balancing, Industrial Engineering, Time Study, Standard Allowed Minutes (SAM), and Work Study. Preferred skills for this role include a minimum of 7 to 12 years of experience in the Garments industry. A background in Line Balancing, Industrial Engineering, Time Study, SAM, and Work Study is desirable.
