Indirect Tax Manager

Looking for Indirect Tax Automation Manager with overall 10+ years of Technology Consulting experience and specifically 8+ years of experience in implementation/Support of Tax Automation projects.

Tax Manager of Indirect Tax Automation, applies industry knowledge and experience to collaborate with clients to implement indirect tax automation tools which include, but are not limited to, Vertex O Series, Vertex Q Series, Vertex Indirect Tax Returns, OneSource Indirect Tax Determination, OneSource Compliance, Sovos (Taxware), and Avalara AvaTax, and to be integrated with clients' ERP systems (SAP/ Oracle).

Role & responsibilities

• Serves as the Project Lead and Project Manager on third-party indirect tax software implementations and other customized sales tax automation.
• Manages assigned system integration projects that involve major ERP and billing systems, such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, MS365/AX, NetSuite, etc.
• Leads a system implementation and integration project from end to end (process design, software selection, implementation, user acceptance, training and go-live and post go-live phases)
• Be responsible for own tasks as well as team tasks, and take ownership for providing top quality client deliverables
• For Application Maintenance Support (AMS) engagements, be responsible for troubleshooting various functional issues (Tax Engine issues or Integration issues) and providing efficient solutions as well as timely status reports to clients.
• Ability to multi-task in order to support multiple client engagements.
• Communicate confidently and collaborate efficiently with internal stake holders and clients.
• Monitor and manage team utilization, training and firm compliance goals.
• Manage team performance, including retaining top performers and taking action against low performers.
