In Process QC Engineer

Skills/Knowledge sought:

• Foundry, Fabrication & Machining,
• Engineering drawing interpretation,
• Interpretation of international codes and specification, such as ASME, ASTM, IS, DIN etc.
• NDT PT, MT, UT, RT, VT
• Welding ASME Sec IX / AWS
• Steel Grades SS, MS, Casting, Alloys.
• Wastewater management, material handling systems, and heavy-duty fabrication industry knowledge
• Excellent knowledge of QC instruments (Vernier, bore gauge, Slip Gauge, DFT meter, Micrometer, surface roughness tester)
• Experience of handling QMS, IATF Audit.
• ISO Audits Internal and External, Basic understanding of SAP Module
• Usage of Quality Tools, Measuring Instruments and its Calibration Records

Activities

• Vendor end and Receiving inspection of Castings, machined parts, Fabrication and bought outs.
• Supplier Evaluation, Reevaluation, Assessment
• Project specific ITP Preparation as per customer requirement and coordination with TPIA for all stages of inspection
• In-process & Final inspection of Parts, Assembly and finished material as per ITP and drawing requirements
• Support on IMS deployment to the factory
• Product Audit & Process Audit at supplier end as well as Internal processes
• Calibration of Monitoring and Measuring Instruments
• Support New Product Development in conjunction with Supply Chain and Product Engineering
• Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions for all NCRs and Warranty claims
• Excellent knowledge welding codes, welding symbols & welding types (TIG, MIG, SMAW, Arc), WPQ, WPS / PQR and Painting process
• Coordination with Client / Third party inspectors / Inspection agencies
• Co-ordinate with cross-functional teams to fully execute project deliverables. Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
• Documentation Inspection Reports prepare / review. Establish new report formats as required.
