Job Description

As a member of the Professional services/ BA team at FIS, your role will involve working closely with clients, systems development engineers, and business unit team members. Here is what you will be responsible for: - Working with internal teams, client teams, and project managers to understand and analyze clients" requirements. - Documenting business systems requirements for the business unit or function. - Configuring the Compass application based on clients" requirements. - Documenting clients" requirements in appropriately formatted business specifications. - Assisting the Client Manager in obtaining sign off on the requirements from the client. - Presenting clients" requirements to the Design Team to ensure full understanding. - Participating in design sessions for the development of new functionality and customization of existing functionality. - Ensuring that clients" requirements are accurately reflected in the logical specifications produced by the Design Team. - Assisting in the development of test plans at a functional and regression testing level. - Assisting support analysts in resolving production issues. - Providing input to design sessions when necessary. - Reporting on progress and managing activities as per plan. Qualifications Required: - Strong business analysis knowledge in the Life insurance industry. - Familiarity with relational databases and technical skills such as SQL, Oracle, UNIX, Excel Macros. - Experience in testing life insurance products dealing with Policy Administration System. - Excellent communication and analytics skills. - Knowledge of SDLC and requirement gathering techniques. - Certification in Insurance Domain like LOMA (ALMI or FLMI), Insurance Institute of India - Licentiate, Associate, and Fellowship. - Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies. Skills Needed: - Ability to work both as part of a team and individually. - Setting correct level expectations and delivering on them. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Proven self-starter with problem-solving initiative. - Successful in a multitasking environment. - Ability to work with external clients. - Team player. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent education and experience. - 8 to 12 years of experience as a business analyst in the financial services industry with Business Analysis and testing experience. Competencies: - Fluent in English. - Excellent communicator with the ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions. - Attention to detail in authoring high-quality documentation. - Organized approach to manage priorities. - Self-starter with a team mindset. - Willingness to travel occasionally (no more than 10%).
