Job Description

JD Storage & Backup Key Responsibilities: Required Skills : 1.Commvalut 2.Nasuni 3.Netbackup Storage Technologies: Understanding different types of storage systems (e.g., Direct Attached Storage (DAS), Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Networks (SAN), cloud storage, object storage). RAID Configurations : Knowledge of RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) levels and their use in improving data reliability, performance, and redundancy. Backup Tools : Familiarity with enterprise-level backup software (e.g., Veeam, Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Acronis, IBM Spectrum Protect). Automated Backup Systems : Understanding of scheduling, automating backups, and configuring retention policies. Cloud Backup Solutions: Experience with cloud-based backup solutions (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Backup, Google Cloud Storage). Disaster Recovery Planning : Ability to design and implement backup strategies that integrate with disaster recovery plans. Diagnostics: Strong skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues related to backup failures, slow restore times, and storage outages. Data Recovery: Expertise in various data recovery methods (e.g., file-level recovery, full-system recovery) and tools.
