Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL mappings and data pipelines using
IICS / IDMC
.
Migrate and support integrations from
PowerCenter
to IICS where applicable.
Perform
performance tuning
for mappings, tasks, and runtime environments to meet SLAs.
Write and optimize complex
SQL
for source extraction, transformations, and target loads.
Implement partitioning, pushdown optimization, and parallelism strategies to improve throughput.
Build reusable templates, parameterization, and metadata-driven patterns for rapid development.
Collaborate with data architects to translate business requirements into robust data models and ETL designs.
Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and deployment artifacts.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and production deployments following CI/CD practices.
Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive fixes.
Work within Agile teams and contribute to sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 5 years
of hands-on ETL development experience with
IICS / IDMC
.
Strong experience with
PowerCenter
and migration or coexistence scenarios.
Deep expertise in
performance tuning
for Informatica mappings and runtime tasks.
Advanced
SQL
skills including query optimization, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
Solid understanding of
data warehousing concepts
: star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, fact table design, ETL patterns.
Experience with partitioning, pushdown optimization, and parallel processing techniques.
Familiarity with metadata-driven development, parameter files, and reusable mapping components.
Experience with scheduling and orchestration tools and integrating with enterprise job schedulers.
Good debugging skills and experience resolving high-volume data issues.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud data platforms and migrating ETL workloads to cloud.
Knowledge of scripting for automation such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools for ETL pipelines.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for ETL deployments and Git-based workflows.
Experience with data quality frameworks and metadata management tools.
