Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement solutions on IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS).
Configure Sterling OMS components such as order workflows, pipelines, payment processing, sourcing rules, and inventory models.
Develop customizations using Java, XSLT, XML, APIs, and service extensions.
Integrate Sterling OMS with external systems (ERP, eCommerce, WMS, Payment Gateways) using REST/SOAP APIs, MQ, or other middleware.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs.
Optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
Manage release deployments, testing cycles, and production support activities.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, architects, QA, and operations.
Ensure best practices, coding standards, and alignment with enterprise architecture.

Required Skills

experience in IBM Sterling Commerce / Sterling OMS.
Strong expertise in Sterling OMS configuration, order workflows, fulfillment, sourcing, and inventory management.
Proficiency in Java/J2EE, XML, XSLT, and Web Services.
Experience integrating Sterling OMS with SAP, eCommerce platforms, WMS, or other enterprise systems.
Good understanding of retail, supply chain, and order fulfillment processes.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication, client interaction, and documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Sterling Distributed Order Management (DOM).
Knowledge of Sterling Store, Call Center, or Payment modules.
Exposure to cloud deployment (AWS / Azure) or Kubernetes-based environments.
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version-control tools (Git, Jenkins).
IBM Sterling certification is an added advantage.
