Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Issue Diagnosis & Resolution

  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving IBM i (AS/400) software and application issues.
  • Work with support tickets to gather logs, system data, and reproduce issues.
  • Provide first-level support via email, ticketing systems, or live support under supervision.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and development teams to escalate and track complex issues.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Document common issues and solutions in support knowledge base articles.
  • Update and maintain support documentation as processes evolve.

Learning & Development

  • Participate in internal training, shadowing, and hands-on exercises to build technical expertise on IBM i architecture, tools, and command-line interface.
  • Stay updated with best practices for IBM i systems and applications.
