For its Hyderabad office, KGS is looking for a talented Migration Engineer. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Requirements Migration Engineer with hands-on experience in migrating requirements from IBM DOORS to Atlassian Jira. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in requirements engineering, be proficient in both tools, and be capable of accurately mapping, transforming, and validating complex requirement structures across platforms. EDUCATION PREFERRED: Degree in Computer/Electronics/Communication/Electrical Engineering EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: 3+ years of experience working with IBM DOORS (including DOORS Classic and/or DOORS Next Generation). 2+ years of experience with Atlassian Jira, including workflows, custom fields, automation, and JiraQuery Language (JQL). Proven experience with data migration projects involving requirements management systems. RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze and understand existing requirements housed in IBM DOORS. Develop and execute a structured plan to migrate requirements data from DOORS to Jira. Map custom attributes, traceability links, and requirement hierarchies from DOORS to equivalent structures in Jira (using Jira Core/Software/Advanced Roadmaps/Jira Align as applicable). Collaborate with business analysts, systems engineers, and tool administrators to ensure accurate translation of requirements. Use available APIs or middleware tools (e.g., Tasktop, OpsHub, custom scripts) for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Validate data integrity post-migration, ensuring completeness, traceability, and compliance with project or organizational standards. Provide documentation and training materials for end-users and stakeholders post-migration. Troubleshoot issues during migration and recommend improvements to tools or processes. OTHER COMPETENCIES: Experience with Jira Align, Confluence, or other Atlassian ecosystem tools. Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) for automation and data handling. Familiarity with ReqIF format or OSLC integrations. Analyze and manage the stakeholder requirements including internal and legal requirements • Create and manage the system requirement specification, implementing application and customer specific requirements • Specialization in Network communication, Gateway communication, RTE System RE (incl. Architecture for RTE) • Creation of platform requirements • Negotiate and agree the requirements with the stakeholders • Review and release the system requirements specification • Ensure reliability, availability, maintainability, safety, security and privacy aspects for the system • Design, develop, specify and document of the system and product architecture • Decomposition of product architecture and product requirements to product functions and assignment of physical components as well as discipline components in cooperation with involved disciplines • Moderation of the design process in cooperation with all involved disciplines

A Bachelor's or masters degree in electrical/Electronic/Computer science/software engineering or another related field. Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems. Proficiency in requirement management tools like DOORS, Polarion, or Jama Connect. User experience in SysML/UML/EA tools. Outstanding documentation skills - experience with requirement elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation. Knowledge of safety-critical software development. Automotive SW engineering processes (e.g. ASPICE, AUTOSAR) is desirable. Familiarity with programming skills in C/C++. Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN). Understanding of automotive systems, including electrical, electronic, and software components. Passionate for the EV systems, architecture, and software development. Matlab Simulink knowledge is desirable. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
