KGS provides a wide range of fire detection, suppression, and security products and services for both residential and commercial applications. For its Hyderabad office, KGS is looking for a talented Migration Engineer. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Requirements Migration Engineer with hands-on experience in migrating requirements from IBM DOORS to Atlassian Jira. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in requirements engineering, be proficient in both tools, and be capable of accurately mapping, transforming, and validating complex requirement structures across platforms. EDUCATION PREFERRED: Degree in Computer/Electronics/Communication/Electrical Engineering EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: 3+ years of experience working with IBM DOORS (including DOORS Classic and/or DOORS Next Generation). 2+ years of experience with Atlassian Jira, including workflows, custom fields, automation, and JiraQuery Language (JQL). Proven experience with data migration projects involving requirements management systems. RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze and understand existing requirements housed in IBM DOORS. Develop and execute a structured plan to migrate requirements data from DOORS to Jira. Map custom attributes, traceability links, and requirement hierarchies from DOORS to equivalent structures in Jira (using Jira Core/Software/Advanced Roadmaps/Jira Align as applicable). Collaborate with business analysts, systems engineers, and tool administrators to ensure accurate translation of requirements. Use available APIs or middleware tools (e.g., Tasktop, OpsHub, custom scripts) for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Validate data integrity post-migration, ensuring completeness, traceability, and compliance with project or organizational standards. Provide documentation and training materials for end-users and stakeholders post-migration. Troubleshoot issues during migration and recommend improvements to tools or processes. OTHER COMPETENCIES: Experience with Jira Align, Confluence, or other Atlassian ecosystem tools. Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) for automation and data handling. Familiarity with ReqIF format or OSLC integrations.
